Day's log for Friday, August 31th, 2001 - Statute Mile 203 - west of Navarre, FL

1425 - docked at E-2 in Palafox Marina, Pensacola, FL

I did boat housekeeping, then a shower, then a nice dinner at Lillo's to celebrate my last day with the firm. The food was great. I then met someone to have delivered a new commode for Andrea Lynn that I had purchased at West Marine.

Then I visited with some folks aboard a boat "South Wind". They were headed to Destin the next day. We swapped sea stories and compared notes. They were headed there via the Gulf and had to get a really early start, like 0700.

Thought for the day

Sacrifice - doing without in order to achieve a goal that you own outright or share with others

Getting used - doing without in order to achieve a goal that belongs entirely to others
