Here I am steaming thin mahogany to make the after part of the cockpit coaming trim. I decided to use a 1 1/4 x 3/4 piece of mahogany end cap. The after part curves down to the deck as shown in the plans. Note that the plans specify to saw it. Here I have decided to deviate a bit as I wanted to experiment with steam bending wood. I think it will make a nice looking coaming although it is more time consuming.

I have forced the strips into a mold. This will cool and dry overnight.
