The skeg is now mounted on the bottom. I used about 10 bronze bolts to secure it in place plus epoxy. The bronze is the best metal to use for its corrosion resistance. I plan to coat the keel with epoxy followed by 2 part primer, followed by antifouling paint.

To make sure the skeg is squared up right I used this arrangement of clamps and scrap wood.

The centerboard slot has been cut and smoothed out.
