My first sailboat was a Catalina 25 named Bottom Time. I bought her in April of 1992 at Herrington Harbor Marina in Deale, MD. I picked her because she was a good boat with a galley and ability to sleep overnight. Also she's a good "starter boat". She has a swing keel and a short mast. One of my first trips was to motor down to clifts near where Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant is located. I took scuba gear and met up with some dive buddies to look for shark teeth and other fossils in about 6' of water. Thereafter, I sailed on many trips to St. Michaels, Poplar Island, Oxford, Snug Harbor, Tilghman Island, Rhode River, and Shaw Bay. The biggest trip in this boat was to Smith Island.

In Herrington Harbor shortly after spring launch.
